Libby Tate, Director of Business Development
Libby joined the Windward team in 2022 with over 20 years of sales and marketing experience in the fields of healthcare, hospitality, technology, and corporate manufacturing. In her role as Director of Business Development, Libby guides Windward’s efforts to connect with potential clients, professional referrers, and the community as a whole. Libby is committed to helping clients and their family members access the high quality care, personalized care that Windward provides. Libby enjoys educating the San Diego community about the benefits of care management and the importance of utilizing a licensed Home Care Organization (HCO) to provide in-home care.
“My passion for helping the elders in our community was fostered in college when our sorority volunteered to clean and organize the homes of older adults in our community. It was rewarding to see that this seemingly small effort resulted in these older adults regaining healthy living space, and a better quality of life. Later, I faced the personal challenge of advocating for my parents’ needs as they lived with Alzheimer’s disease and Parkinson’s disease. Being a family caregiver has given me insight into the complexities and challenges that older people face on a daily basis as they navigate a complex healthcare system. I believe my life experience has opened my heart to nurture relationships, advocate, and foster partnerships that help more people in San Diego to thrive while aging.”
