Jessica joined the Windward Life Care and Home Health teams in 2020. Her clinical experience includes having worked as a Medical Assistant in an outpatient setting and, after obtaining her Licensed Vocational Nurse (LVN) degree in 2017, caring for patients on an inpatient neurobehavioral unit. Jessica transitioned into home based care with the goal of providing more personalized, attentive care. The clinical services Jessica provides with Windward Home Health include nursing visits, injections, ostomy and colostomy care, post-operative care, and helping to manage chronic conditions like hypertension and congestive heart failure.
“I decided I wanted to be a part of the medical field after taking care of my grandmother who had multiple myeloma. During the course of her treatment, I met many nurses and doctors working hard to help my grandmother’s quality of life. This experience helped me understand that I wanted to make a difference for someone else too. I enjoy working with patients in their own homes because I can spend more time with them than is typical in other healthcare settings, and I can give them undivided attention and care they deserve.”
