Penny joined the Windward Life Care team in 2017. She received both her bachelor of arts in social work and her master of social work degree with a concentration in gerontology from San Diego State University. Penny began her career working in hospice and palliative care, assisting older adults and families coping with chronic illness, end-of-life concerns and grief. Penny has specialized expertise in working with adults with cognitive impairments, as well as individuals living with multiple sclerosis. Penny is typically the first person that a potential new client speaks with when they call Windward. She assesses whether Windward services are the right fit, and provides referrals as needed. Penny is working toward licensure as a clinical social worker in California, as well as CMC certification. She is a member of the Aging Life Care Association.
